e.l.f primer eyeshadow in Misty Mauve & mineral eyeshadow in Girly

I recently got yet another e.l.f (Link to website) haul when they had their recent 50% off.  Safe to say I'm addicted!

I already had one of the eyeshadow primers Here in coco loco but after seeing the others on a Beauty Crowd (Link to website) show recently I decided I wanted them all.  At 50% off too, it made them practically free at £1.25 each!

In amongst my goodies were some free gifts & although I have lots of the mineral eyeshadows already Here, one of them was a shade that I don't already have, Girly.

So I am talking about the eyeshadow primer in Misty Mauve & the mineral eyeshadow in Girly.

The primers are lovely, they give a really nice colour as well as shimmer so you can wear them on their own as well as using as a base.  They really enhance the colour though & once they are on there is no shifting them!

Misty Mauve is a purpley-silver shade so I thought it would work well with Girly.

You can see how much of a difference there is with the eyeshadow on its own & on top of the primer (below)

The finish is really nice & it really does make the shadow last.

My only problem with e.l.f is finding places for all my stuff! :-)

Models Own nail polish - Velvet Goth collection in Valerian

I have been poorly all week with a bad cold so have neglected my nails!  Really don't like them without polish on especially as I have a tendency to mess with them!

I have painted them today using one of my favorite brands Models Own. Link will take you to the Models Own website.

I have used one of the polishes in their Velvet Goth collection called Valerian. here is a link to the collection.

They are dark, rich colours with glitter (my favourite!) built in.  I have the whole range & the bottles on their own are impressive as they have a velvet lid so look really elegant.

The finish is matt rather than shiny & you need at least 2 coats to get a good colour. This is how 1 coat looked..

And 2 coats without any topcoat..

But I prefer it with topcoat on as it enhances the glitter as well as giving a nice colour.

Some people would say I have far too many Models Own polishes but I don't think you can ever have too many!

Taking the plunge! e.l.f nail polish in Flirty Fuschia.

So, I already write a blog about my life as a mummy with ME but I have thought about doing a beauty blog for a while & people have been telling me I should do one, so here I am!

I have a huge love of make up, anything sparkly is always a winner!  I also have an obsession with nail polish.  I have loads & end up changing it every few days as I get bored!  Glitter is a firm favourite & I will often add it to either one accent nail or, depending on my base colour, all of them!

For my first post I thought I would focus on nails & have decided to dedicate it to the fabulous e.l.f www.eyeslipsface.co.uk who are my favourite brand.  They do not only have amazing products but they are also cheap & they have fantastic offers all the time.   Their staff are also some of the nicest people I have dealt with & for all those reasons it has become my number 1 place for buying beauty products & make up from.

I have done my nails today using Flirty Fuschia which is a gorgeous pink.  It is part of the 14 piece nail cube, Here which I actually won recently in one of the e.l.f competitions.

The bottles are smaller than the average ones, are really easy to hold & apply the polish.

As you can see it is a really nice bright pink which is very shiny too.  I have used 2 coats & it gives good coverage.  I have added a clear top coat too.

In the nail cube there are a few different glittery top coats & I have added an accent nail in Dream Maker.  I love the effect it gives & it is really sparkly. The sparklier the better (in my opinion anyway!)

So this concludes my first #bblog & I am excited about doing more :-)
